CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Date : 23 nov 2017
Venue : Clay Room, Nuffield College
Deadline for proposals: 20 Oct 2017, invite sent by 25 Oct 2017
We are pleased to announce the first DPhil Politics/IR graduate seminar. The seminar provides, DPhil Politics/ IR students across all years at Oxford, an opportunity to discuss their research with their peers and invited faculty members. The workshop is supported by the DPIR, and is organized by students in cooperation with Ben Ansell and David Rueda. Our hope is that this will develop into a termly event.
We encourage early stage work, such as the research design from your transfer documents, a theoretical chapter, preliminary analysis, and also final drafts (outside thesis subjects such as articles are also welcomed). Faculty members/ post-docs/recent DPhils will be invited to provide feedback.
If you wish to participate please send in an abstract, along with a few lines on what you expect from the session and indicate the stage of your work. Please limit this material to one page. You may also submit a working paper, either along with the abstract or latest by 10 nov 2017.
If you are a politics post-doc / visiting scholar/ faculty, please email us if you wish to participate.
Lunch and coffee/tea will be provided. The seminar will close with a drinks reception for participants.
Regards,
Student organisers : Tanushree Goyal, Ilona Lahdelma, Jacob Nyrup and Zack Grant
